i made this! (my first attempt at making cha kway tiao)

Went to the thai shop earlier and they had fresh kway tiao! It's the first time in this country that i've seen FRESH ones being sold. Honest. Anyway, the nice guy at the shop said i could have them for free because they were a little bit frozen.

I came back and immediately started to make one of my favourite dishes - cha kway tiao.

This had no lap cheong (hate it anyway), harm, nor pork lard, and i forgot to add some chai por. But it tasted bloody damn good anyway. You wouldn't believe how much oil has gone into it just to get the texture of the noodles right. People always say that it's "damn oily". After having cooked it myself, i now know. I wonder how it will taste like if olive oil was used instead... Hmm...
