"xianfeng!"

taken Dam Square, Amsterdam. supposed to be chinese avant-garde art of some sort. damn pretty scary looking if you ask me.

i wonder which "xianfeng" characters they are:

1. 先锋? (which, according to the dictionary, exists. something like front line army troops or something.)

2. 先疯? (first to go crazy)

3. 仙疯? (immortal crazy or maybe crazy about immortal/s?)

or possibly even
4. 鲜疯? (freshly crazy?)

Option 1 makes most semantic sense, but maybe this is a pun on the word 锋, which leaves us with option 2.

there is much fun to be had when you are given only the pinyin. =)

I think some of his pieces were on display at the Esplanade once? I tried to take a photograph, and the security guard stopped me, saying that the artist didn't want people to photograph his works, which I'm sure isnot true, but just some bullshit reason. I think he was just being assholic.

yah - singaporean security guards are funny. everything cannot, and reasons are even more lame.

don't know what the artist's name is. think "xianfeng!" is the name of the exhibition?
