beach vacation desires
i so would like a beach vacation. but not one where there are tons of Singaporeans with bad manners and their screaming kids. just a quiet place, big sun, nice sand and cool waters. is there anywhere in Spain i can go for this sort of thing? sorry - obviously inpired by the song "holiday in spain", which is about this huge new year's day party. and the next day when you get up with this huge hangover, all the mess of the party is still there and how its just easier to leave it all behind than have to deal with it.

Of course - just replace Sinagporean with German or British, and you have it.
Portugal has some nice places that are quiet - as does Sicily....
There was an article in yesterday's papers about how lovely and quiet it is vacationing by the beach in Phuket now.
Sadly the sex tourism inductry has boomed in Phuket in the aftermath of the Tsunami as opportunistic "bargain hunters" go to take advantage of the increased pool of women who find themselves in such poverty that prostitution becomes the only easy revenue stream....
