for belle - happy birthday

Did a walk/pub crawl on friday, and went along the thames path for a bit. This is Wandsworth park along the thames, where there are also a few swanky apartments overlooking the river and beyond, where it is also nice and green because there is another park there. But me thinks the barges are way more cool.

In any case, i think finn and belle are going to love running in this park. Can't wait for them to get here...

Belle is 6 today.

spidey

I spent a good part of this morning watching this little thing here.

I've taken photos of it before when it was just waiting, but this morning, it was busy spinning its web instead and it was really quite fascinating to watch.

Then it started to drizzle, and i thought about how long (or short, rather) it would be before its web (or part of) would be destroyed.

I don't remember the last time i watched a spider do this. Or maybe i haven't. and when it started repairing its web, i thought about catching flies and tossing them into his web to help make his life a bit easier...

gardening... well, sorta.

so i was kind of clearing up in the garden, of its dead leaves/plants, fallen twigs, etc. and was making piles of them before shoving them into the bin bag. then i made this pile with the dead flowers and thought i'd take a shot of it to break up the monotony of - yes, sweeping.
