took this at Richmond Park yesterday. 'twas a nice sunny day, but the temperature is dropping. It sucks that it's getting colder so soon. (Weather forecast: 16 degrees tomorrow, and rain...)

update!

it's been a week since i arrived in London. 'twas quite crazy because i had to fly out to NYC the day after i got here, and didn't get back till Sunday. and then almost immediately, NAB had a race, so i went there to lend support.

so there was a lot of jetlag (didn't do a lot in NYC because of this - but did go to the ICP), and some drinking.

this is a shot of our back garden. it's nice and hot out here, almost like being in Singapore. There isn't wi-fi at the house at the moment, so blogging and posting of photos are difficult tasks. but still, i've got my new phone (K800i) so i will be looking to take more shots with that and will post them when i can.

glad i will be missing NDP. MUAHAHAHAHA...

"what good is a used up world and how could it be worth having?"

it's true that there are a lot of things wrong with this world and its inhabitants. but there are also things that can make us go "Wow" and remember that there is always hope. (don't forget that, TOHA!)

sunset 6th july

sunset 6th july

i was in the midst of packing when a friend alerted me to the beautiful sunset. 'twas so amazing i thought everyone should have a look too.

i was going to post a photo immediately, but after quite a while, i decided to do a stitch so that you can all get a better/panoramic view "from up here". sadly these sunsets don't last too long and i actually was looking at it for the length of smoking a cigarette before i took any pictures. so this isn't exactly it, but since i'd already stitched it (hastily), it's here.

not long to go before i get my hands on this.

it is quite amazing to learn that there is still someone who has a kuti-kuti (sp?) collection today.

it made me think of my grandmother who used to play it with me.

phone blues

i have somehow managed to misplace my phone again. funny, every single phone that my dad has ever given me, i have managed to lose.

boo. no phone camera, no fun. but then the camera on the phone was acting up... kicking myself because i had photos on there that were not downloaded yet. plus various notes on how to make carrot cake and other Photoshop tips i'd taken down whilst browsing in the library.

so i am thinking - should i get the same phone again (NOW - i do miss the panoramic feature), or wait patiently for the new K800i?

short review of CC's new album and other things

after listening to just this album all day, this is the conclusion: adam sounds really worn out and lost on this album.

kind of how i feel at the moment, trying to do all the packing and stuff.

going through the bookshelf to decide what to ship and what to leave behind, i found i've got 2 copies of the following Murakami books:

- Norwegian Wood. the boxed/special edition one. (the other one is in the UK. also had the original japanese ones which i'd given to a good friend many many years ago.)
- A Wild Sheep Chase (which i'm re-reading at the moment)
- Dance Dance Dance
- A Sputnik Sweetheart (which i think i will give away... any takers? otherwise i have someone in mind...)
- After Dark. (Both in Chinese. One in traditional Chinese, the other, simplified. i think i will give the one in traditional chinese to my dad and tell him to read it, it's one of my favourite authors. and then wait for the damn English translation one to come out next year cos the simplified Chinese one doesn't make it any easier for me!)

oh, and there is also way too much Warhammer stuff in the study.

kill me, just kill me now.
